Currency

Prices are quoted in USD but may be paid in Lao kip based on $1 USD = 9,500 kip.

Payment

Payment must be received in full prior to the tour departure. Please pay in cash at the start of the tour.

Cancellation by Tuk Tuk Safari

Tuk Tuk Safari reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time due to reasons beyond its control, such as serious weather events or political instability. In this case payment will be refunded in full.

Alteration of Tour Itinerary by Tuk Tuk Safari

Tuk Tuk Safari reserves the right to alter the itinerary of any tour at any time due to various reasons, including the unavailability of particular activities or inclement weather. In this case substitute equivalent activities will be provided, or a partial refund negotiated with the guest.

Please note that it is not possible for any additional activities or unscheduled stops to be made during the tour at the request of guests.

Insurance

Tuk Tuk Safari endeavours to ensure that all vehicles used are properly insured, however it is not always that case in Laos that vehicle insurance legally or effectively covers passengers. In most cases, activity venues do not have insurance that covers visitors or guests.

Tuk Tuk Safari strongly recommends that all guests obtain personal private travel insurance that provides cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency evacuation/repatriation and personal liability.

Risks

Guests should be aware that during the tour activities certain risks or hazards may be present, including but not limited to hazards of: travelling in a tuk tuk; working in a farm environment; undertaking activities involving hot wax, scissors, pins and sewing needles; entering commercial kitchens; and participating in food preparation.

Responsibility

We do our best to make sure that our guests enjoy every part of their tour. But we just want to make sure that you understand that Laos is a developing country and might not have the same standard of transport, safety, hygiene, medical facilities and infrastructure that you are used to at home. While all care is of course taken, Tuk Tuk Safari accepts no liability for personal injury or loss or damage to property sustained by anyone while on the tour. We recommend that our guests ensure that they have personal travel insurance when visiting Laos, including when doing our tours.

Complaints

If a guest has a complaint about at tour at any time, please make it known to the tour guide as soon as possible so that the guide can try to address the issue to the guest’s satisfaction. If the guest is not satisfied with the response of the guide then this issue should be raised with Tuk Tuk Safari by email to hi@tuktuksafari.com within 3 days and we will seek to resolve the issue to the satisfaction of all parties.
